Dear Activision,
I know you worked really hard to screw up the Wii version of Guitar Hero III. Who doesn’t enjoy the sonic blast of pure mono fury coming from a surround sound system? But seriously, sending me a “kit” to mail the disk back to you so you can promptly (3 -4 weeks) ship me a fixed disc is asinine.
Why not team up with retailers for an in-store exchange? This provides your oh so important customers (as we already know, with the airtight quality control standards at your company and all) instant gratification, and you really are no worse off than with the mailing “kit”.
I’m sure other GHIII players have the same feelings. I mean, if I have the suddend urge to gyrate my hips with my Wiitar in full rock stardom to DragonForce at 3am, I would like to satisfy that fantasy rather than wait for my game disk to return from the nether of idiocy.
So please Activision, think logically the next time you shaft your customers and try to right your wrongs. It might just help you in the long run.
